August Lineup for SOUL At The MET

August is here and we’re excited to bring another round of amazing artists to our Annapolis music family. This is our last month for our summer residency at the Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge and we’re pulling out some special talent. Check the lineup and links below and come out to support! Tuesdays, 9:00pm.

August 6:   SOL EDLER

Sol is a singer/songwriter/performer hailing from Washington DC. His debut album, “Song of Solomon, Book I” has been universally acclaimed. The follow-up entitled “Courage” is forthcoming.

Sol has opened, performed, or recorded with international stars such as Mint Condition, Rahsaan Patterson, Eric Roberson, Justin Timberlake, Leela James, N’Dea Davenport, Lalah Hathaway, Ledisi and several more!

August 13:  N’DIGO ROSE

One part man. One part force of nature. One part enigma. These three ingredients form the whole of DC’s notorious underground soul superstar, N’Digo Rose. Often performing with his band, the Nekkid UndastandN, N’Digo Rose is leading the charge to reinvent soul music by taking influence from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Parliament Funkadelic and concocting a blend of Funk unlike anything you’ve ever heard.

Harmony!! The Misbehavers was formed by three Annapolis-based musicians who come together to make beautiful harmonies. A throwback to the great girl groups of the 60s, they also take influence from Soul, Funk, R&B, and even a little Country & Bluegrass.

Gillian Thompson | Viki Nova | Jenn Byrne are The MISBEHAVERS.

August 27:  HARRISON COFER & SAM WETTERAU of the Dirty Names

The “James Brown” of the Dirty Names, Harrison Cofer originally played bass before focusing on guitar & lead vocals once Wetterau joined the band. Harrison is the Dirty Names founder and only remaining original member.

Bass player Sam Wetterau is also known as the glue that holds it all together, the keeper of the groove, band manager, and Fat Fingers.

FRIDAY, September 6:  SOUL AT THE MET FINALE!!  Mark your calendars now as we move Soul At The Met to a Friday night for a packed night of guests and special performances! It’s our END OF SUMMER BLOWOUT show so you know we’ll be throwing in some extra surprises!
